Hypnosis is a powerful tool for making positive and lasting improvement. Here is a short list of areas where hypnosis can assist you:

Hypnosis is NOT a substitute for professional medical or mental care. It can be applied regarding a medical or mental concern with a written referral from the appropriate health professional. Contact me to discover if hypnosis is right for your needs.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and heightened awareness where the subconscious mind is more capable of absorbing and acting on suggestions for your benefit.
Because hypnosis is a natural state, there is a good chance you have already experienced it. Have you ever gotten so involved in a book or movie that time seemed to fly by? Have you ever been in a class or meeting where your mind began to wander? Both of those are examples of hypnotic states. Truthfully, everyone has a unique experience with hypnosis. Some people feel a light, floating sensation, others a feeling of heaviness. Some may even experience a tingling sensation in their fingers or toes. And for some, it may be no different from their conscious state, and that's just fine too. Know that whatever hypnosis is like to you, it will always be familiar because it is something you experience naturally each day.
No, hypnosis is not sleep. It may appear that way because often people are asked to close their eyes to aid in focusing attention. Many people are surprised to learn that you can talk, walk, open your eyes, and move during hypnosis. The ability to do everyday actions while in a hypnotic state is part of the secret that successful athletes, public speakers, and actors use in their careers.
Absolutely not. There is no way to get stuck in hypnosis. Some people find the process of hypnosis so enjoyable that they may want to extend the experience. To an observer this could seem like the client might be "stuck" but the reality is very different. The client is always in control of their experience - in hypnosis or out.
Everyone experiences hypnosis daily. If you have gone to sleep or woken up you have passed through a hypnotic state. Anyone of at least average intelligence can be hypnotized. So the real question is not can you be hypnotized, but do you want to be. Quite simply, you do not enter hypnosis unless you want to. When you do want to, then all you have to do is follow some simple directions from your hypnotist.
There are two main reasons for this. First, the hypnotist did not adequately explain hypnosis or check for understanding. It is natural for people to have some level of fear of what they do not understand. Part of my job as your hypnotist is to explain hypnosis and cancel that fear by answering your questions. Second, the person must be serious about wanting the change. Some people try hypnosis expecting it to fail because everything else they've tried has failed. People who come in with this expectation of failure and lacking the intention to change make their hypnosis ineffective.
I'm sure you already know there is no reliable way to guarantee human behavior. Hypnosis is not some kind of miracle answer; it is an interactive process, meaning you get out of it what you are able to put into it. Like any process involving individual effort, the results can vary. I can show you the tools to success and how to use them, but it is still up to you to do so.
Not at all. Hypnosis can not make you do something that you would not do under normal circumstances or something that goes against your core values.
No, hypnosis is not a truth serum. During the hypnotic process I will ask questions relating to the reason you have come to see me, and it does help for you to give your honest impressions, but if you chose to not share that is ok too; just realize that I can only give you as much help as you allow me to.
I am happy to answer any other questions you have, either by email or during your free consultation.
